I'd say from my perspective anyway, it's a matter of simple courtesy. We are being courteous to the lowbies by not killing them out of hand (also because its a rule, but still
). All I'd ask is that lowbies show the same courtesy back to us and act as if they cannot see us at all.

The problem with your logic is, difficulty in getting a channeler is not any form of pk balance. Yes, I realize it's a low percent chance to get one. And that it takes a lot of drudgery to get weaves up and get ranked to full Sedai. But that has nothing to do with pk. We don't pk against the novices...
