I generally go off of cues in the name for where to be in position, as well as common sense. But some weapons I am just not sure for in regards to the best position for them.
For instance, a polearm sounds like a back row type, but is it? Same with spears. Are axes and clubs for middle?

Alternatives to Long blades
I've been looking at a lot of weapons other than long blades, but none just seem to give me the same kind of edge. (Bladeforms aren't a factor, yet) Polearms sounded nice, but I haven't found one that gives anywhere near the same defense or the damage. Flails are obviously not as good afaik. Clubs a...

Feel free to comment and question, or critique. I am open to responses. I confess myself not an expert writer, but I do enjoy it when it's about something that interests me.

Re: A Letter In Lue of a Treaty
Part Two! Even at the modest speed the horses could move the carriage, the trip to Tar Valon had been a very peaceful one. They were still half a day's ride from the city, and as it was the early morning hours they expected to be there before sunset. Balyn was tempted to look out the thinly paned wi...

Re: Criminal and Shadow Scalp Reporting Fix, Changes and Voting
All clans that deal with some form of military organization, whether regular army or guards, should get rewarded for Shadowspawn. Proportional to whatever clan is up to the people in the sky. Some clans have an RP reason to not get them for Criminals, I think. That's something I heard or read a long...

A Letter In Lue of a Treaty
The candlelight was almost blinding as Balyn entered the palace from the dark streets. Even at this late hour, he'd been summoned by his Aunt for something urgent. The problem was, he'd been happily asleep back at the Mantear Manor. In his mind, this had better be important. The large meeting room w...

Re: Nobility and Related Stuff
I like your idea when it's mixed in with how it used to be rolled. (You weren't told, and you couldn't choose) So the random roll on it can stay at creation, but the ability to work your way up is also there. I don't know the reason behind being able to choose, maybe it is in line with how you can c...

Re: Nobility and Related Stuff
Give Nobles something to do first, then worry about who goes where. Right now we just look pretty and maybe get paychecks if we had it setup years back. I am all for changes to nobility, but only if there is a clear plan first of why to be a Lord/Lady in the first place. Especially since anyone can ...
