Idea: Practice command

Post by Riley »

For those of us that are channlers can this command be changed to filter out weaves from normal skills, and not sure about blade forms for the others.

Just a thought though :)

Weaves:
Birdcall 14/14 Juggle 14/14

Skills:
Ride 14/14 Survival 14/14

For showing when you type practice.

Honestly, there are situations where this would be helpful for immortals too in trying to do stuff.

But..........requires coding.

Hi you all,

So in essence, you want the practice command to show you
"

Code: Select all

Weaves Cur/Max% Weaves Cur/Max%
---------------------------------- ----------------------------------
 Birdcall : 99/ 99% Air Dart : 99/ 99%
 Switch of Air : 99/ 99% Rush of Air : 99/ 99%
 Deafen : 99/ 99% Air Blast : 99/ 99%
.
.
.
Skills Cur/Max% Skills Cur/Max%
bash : 99/ 99% hide : 99/ 99%
 kick : 99/ 99% rescue : 99/ 99%
 sneak : 99/ 99% barehands : 99/ 99%
 long blades : 99/ 99% dodge : 99/ 99%
.
.
.
 Bladeform Cur/Max% Bladeform Cur/Max%
------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------
 The Creeper Embraces the Oak : 99/ 99% The Falcon Stoops : 99/ 99%
 Kissing the Adder : 99/ 99% Folding the Fan : 99/ 99%
.
.

"

Is that about right?

Or do you want to have seperate commands (weaves maybe?) that shows you only weaves? Or skills (that shows you only skills?)

In the current system, the naming policy dictates whether something is a weave or a skill (capitalized letter for weaves, all small for skills), which while a nice idea, may still end up being pages long for people with weaves, skills and especially if they've got bladeforms added to it.

Don't know about anyone else, but yeah - that's exactly what I'd like to see, or have each prac list separate and accessed by a command for each: prac/weaves/forms.

While we are at it, splitting the weaves up into element type for single and Combination or mixed would be helpful in having an organized display if one felt so inclined to do it.

As you learn more about the elements you'll discover that this is close to happening all ready. Most of my air weaves are at the top, followed by another element, followed by next element and at the bottom of my list I have my mixed element weaves.

Gotta leave something for us ancient Aes Sedai to teach the novices.
