I was thinking how it would be a good change if weapons had suffixes/prefixes.
For example!
Prefix:
[3%]a cuendillar forged +2 accuracy, +1 pain
[12%]a master crafted +1 accuracy, +1 parry
[50%][blank] no changes
[12%]a worn -1 accuracy
[3%]a rusted +1 pain, -2 parry
Suffix:
[3%]a nobles grip/shaft +1 accuracy, +1 dodge
[12%]a well forged grip/shaft +1 dodge +1 parry
[50%][blank]
[12%]a leather wrapped grip/shaft +1 dodge, -1 ash
[3%]a battered grip/shaft -1 parry, -1 dodge
So say, 50% of the time, a [blank] silver-etched greatsword [blank] drops. This just means the weapon has no modifiers. The vast majority of weapons will still stay like this.
But then you get a a [master crafted] silver-etched greatsword with a [nobles grip]. So this sword now has +1 accuracy, +1 dodge, +2 parry. But the chances of getting both of those is only a 12%*3% is a 0.3% chance. Course you also have a 0.3% chance you'l get a worn silver-etched greatsword with a leather wrapped grip.
The idea is these bonuses are very small or should be. So they wont have too much impact. But what it adds is letting players strive for something a little extra and adds some more to the economy / trade. Getting a cuendillar forged / noble grip weapon would be worth alot more to someone then just a regular weapon. Now a regular weapon for someone who doesn't care will be almost just as good.
Of course it deosn't have to be those adjectives, there can be more or less. But you get the idea.
Weapon suffix/prefixes

Re: Weapon suffix/prefixes
It's a good idea, but not sure if implementable right now due to lack of resources. Regardless, it'd give more reason to try for more..
Thank you for the idea, Dakan. Keep them coming!

For what it's worth, I really like this idea
Re: Weapon suffix/prefixes
Actually, I like this idea too.
Cant see it coming anytime soon for the reason Niila stated, but I would very much like to see it.
